Welcome to the land of ancient wonders and modern marvels – Egypt, home to some of the world’s most iconic historical landmarks. Among these wonders stand the timeless guardians of the desert, the Pyramids of Giza.

The Pyramids of Giza, located on the Giza Plateau just outside Cairo, are a trio of awe-inspiring pyramids that have captivated the imagination of people for millennia. The largest of these, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, is a true testament to ancient engineering prowess. Alongside it are the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, each with its own unique allure.

The Great Pyramid (Pyramid of Khufu):

Strange secrets about the Great Pyramid:

– The Great Pyramid consists of 2 million and 600 thousand pieces of stone, 5 thousand years old, all held together until now without cement.

The weight of the stones in the Great Pyramid ranges from 2 and a half tons to 15 tons.

– One piece of stone in the ceiling of King Khufu’s room weighs 70 tons of granite.

The height of the Great Pyramid is about 149.4 meters.

The limestone cladding of the Great Pyramid is a very beautiful thing, but the earthquake in 1301 caused most of this limestone cladding to collapse, and what remained of it was stolen and used to build ancient Egypt, its walls, its mosques, and its houses, which is what we see now in these houses.

Khafre’s pyramid

  • This pyramid was built by King Khafre, the fourth king of the Fourth Dynasty in ancient Egypt, which ruled Egypt in the twenty-sixth century BC. He was the son of King Khufu, the owner of the greatest pyramid in the Egyptian pyramids (the Great Pyramid of Khufu), and it was lower than the pyramid of Khufu, which was Its height in the past was 143 meters and now its height is 136 meters.
  • The base of the pyramid is 215.25 meters, or 706 feet. It has two entrances on the northern side and still retains part of its outer covering at the summit. Khafre’s pyramid is located southwest of Khufu’s pyramid.
  • King Khafre called the pyramid “The Great,” as the pyramid is distinguished by the presence of a complex around it. This complex contains many statues, most notably the Sphinx. The pyramid was built in a sequential manner leading to the top of the pyramid, so that the large-sized stones are at the bottom of the pyramid while The smaller stones are on top.
  • The design of this pyramid differs from the rest of the other Egyptian pyramids in that most Egyptian pyramids contain hidden entrances, but Khafre’s pyramid has two clearly visible entrances that lead to the burial chamber that contains the tomb of King Khafre.

Menkaure’s pyramid

The smallest of the three pyramids of Giza, it is located on the pyramid plateau southwest of Cairo, Egypt. It is believed to have been built as a tomb for Menkaura, one of the pharaohs of the Fourth Dynasty. Menkaure called his pyramid “the Holy One.”

Its height is 65.5 meters, and is now 62 meters after the fall of its outer cladding.

Despite centuries of study, the pyramids continue to evoke fascination and speculation. From theories about their construction techniques to their purported links with extraterrestrial beings, the enigma surrounding the pyramids only adds to their allure, making your visit a truly immersive experience.
